Keep an Eye International Jazz Award 2016

The participating bands in 2016 are from the Berklee College of Music, Boston; Accademia Nazionale del Jazz (Siena, Italy); the Manhattan School of Music, New York; Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain), and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Wel een klein opdrachtje

• The theme of the competition is ‘Herbie Hancock'. Every band will make an arrangement of one of the following compositions by Hancock: Speak Like a Child, Butterfly, One Finger Snap, Actual Proof and Dolphin Dance. 

The semi-finals will take place on April 11 & 12 in the Amsterdam Blue Note. The final will take place on April 14 in the Bimhuis, Amsterdam.
