Uit de 16 genomineerden werden 8 finalisten geselecteerd. En die waren als toekomstige winnaars ... natuurlijk uiterst nieuwsgierig naar het 'wie, hoe en wat'.
8 FINALISTS KEEP AN EYE GRANTS
Which 4 of these 8 graduates will win a Keep an Eye grant? The names of the winners will be made public when the Dutch Design Week kicks off. For now, the first selection has been made by a jury consisting of 6 professionals in the creative industry. 16 of our best graduates presented their work and their ambitions, aiming to win the €11.000,- grant.
For the jury, students stood out for different reasons. Renee Scheepers’ visual treatment guide for cancer patients struck the jury because Renee showed a very good combination of both analytic and imaginary skills. She collaborated very closely with the cancer treatment institute in order to deliver a product that fits the needs of both the institute and the patients. Martijn van Striens’ pieces were praised for their high aesthetic quality and the contrast between them, which showed flexibility and vision. Victoria Ledigs leather goods made of unusual materials were striking in their capability of confronting people where our leather goods actually come from.
These are all 8 finalists: Daniel Costa, Dienke Dekker, Luc van Hoeckel, Renee Scheepers, Martijn van Strien, Victoria Ledig, Erwin van der Krogt en Dave Hakkens.
